Surgery
Drs. Damiano and Forstot perform cataract surgery and other anterior segment eye surgery and have performed these for twenty-five years using the latest techniques. The doctors are corneal trained surgeons having performed thousands of corneal transplants. If the patient's insurance will allow it, these surgeries may be performed at the Littleton Day Surgery Center located on-site.
Refractive Surgery
Drs. Damiano and Forstot perform a variety of refractive surgical procedures and have done so since 1975. The doctors became certified laser surgeons when the laser was approved for use in the United States by the FDA in 1975. They began performing photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) when Denver had its first FDA-approved laser in 1996. As the oldest refractive surgery practice in Colorado, the doctors have performed astigmatism surgery, radial keratotomy (RK), PRK, LASIK as well as older refractive procedures such as myopic keratomileusis (MKM), epikeratophalda, and automated keratomileusis (ALK). Any questions, concerns, information or inqueries to see if you are a candidate for LASIK surgery may be directed to Kellie Edwards, our LASIK coordinator at (720) 283-7373.
